Denver, Colorado, February 15, 2023 – Colorado Local Government Liquid Asset Trust (COLOTRUST) is pleased to announce that Brett Parsons has recently joined COLOTRUST as a Director of Investment Services where he is responsible for strengthening existing client relationships, new business development, and participating in local government organizational conferences throughout the state.
Prior to joining Public Trust, Brett held leadership positions at several school districts in Colorado. Most recently he served as the Director of Finance and Operations at Weld County School District RE-1 where he was responsible for accounting, budgeting, auditing, child nutrition, operations, and transportation. Prior to that, Brett was the Budget Director at Poudre School District where his responsibilities included annual budget development, quarterly financial reporting, and portfolio management. Brett is an active member of the Colorado Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) where he previously served as a Board member for four years.

Brett received both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Lamar University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. Prior to entering the field of school finance, Brett served for six years in the Texas Army National Guard where he deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
